In 1949 the pupils of Class 1 at Bede Burn County Primary School, Jarrow, carried out a survey of their home town and produced a report in booklet form. It offers us a fascinating glimpse into the condition of Jarrow's industries at the time and future plans for the town. Click on the images below to view facsimile pages from the report.
