I have researched four branches of my family and one of my wife's family. Most of this work was done the hard way - before genealogical information became available on the Internet. In the course of this work I have had cyber-meetings with distant relatives in many parts of the world, and some real meetings too. The highlight for me was visiting the farm in Ireland from where my great-great-grandfather emigrated, and meeting my fourth cousin. I occasionally get the opportunity to help people with genealogical queries, and I have listed below links to some of the Internet resources I find most helpful.
The Brennans of Galway, Tennessee and Jarrow | The Rooneys of East Jarrow | The Weddells of Stowell Street, Newcastle | The Laydons and Rowans of Hebburn |
The Smiths of Brandon and Blaydon |
